NSW Government opens state-of-the-art learning facility in Narrandera

Assistant Minister for Skills Adam Marshall and Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke today officially opened the TAFE NSW Narrandera Connected Learning Centre, a new multi-million dollar facility which will transform education delivery in the region.

Minister Marshall said the modern CLC is one in a series of digitally-enabled facilities, which will provide students and employers across regional NSW with access to new courses and world-class learning opportunities.

“The new, next generation CLC will leverage TAFE NSW’s unrivalled reach and expertise to deliver high-quality training, exceptional learning experiences and accessible support services to students in Narrandera,” Minister Marshall said.

“The Narrandera Connected Learning Centre has almost doubled the number of courses available to local students, with many more to come in the future.

“The new CLC will deliver courses that have high demand across the state through blended, facilitated and online learning, including Drone Essentials, Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and Diploma in Business Administration – which will be offered locally for the first time.

“The new TAFE NSW facilities here in Narrandera will benefit not only the local community, but the wider region, helping more people get the skills they need to get the jobs of tomorrow.”

Ms Cooke said new multi-million dollar Connected Learning Centre will mean students no longer have to travel vast distances to their local campus to access a range of learning and course options.

“This $4.76 million investment in education demonstrates how the NSW Government is delivering for Narrandera,” Ms Cooke said.

“The TAFE NSW Narrandera Connected Learning Centre is supported by mobile training units, simulations and virtual reality experiences to deliver the practical training students need to get a job.

“We want our students to train and work here in the region and this facility is such a phenomenal example of new technologies bridging that gap in education opportunities and offering a world of possibilities to locals right here in Narrandera,” she added.

CLCs are a key initiative of the NSW Government’s ONE TAFE NSW reforms which will enable TAFE NSW to deliver modern, flexible and industry relevant training across regional NSW.
