Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke has today wished all students, staff and school communities a happy back to school, with most classes recommencing.
Ms Cooke said she hoped 2021 would be a positive year for all schools in the electorate.
“This is such a busy time of year for parents and carers as they gear up to send students back to school, I want to wish everyone the best of luck as you settle in to the new school year,” Ms Cooke said.
“Last year presented unprecedented challenges for our teachers and support staff. You all rose to meet them with professionalism and passion. I thank each and every one of you for your continued dedication to your vital roles.”
“From our littlest learners starting their school journey in Kindergarten, to our Year 12s marking the beginning of the end of their school lives; remember the only person you need to make proud is yourself, stay calm, do your best and don’t be afraid to ask for help.”
Ms Cooke said the return to school term is a timely reminder for all motorists to be aware of 40km/hour school zones being back in force and to exercise caution along school bus routes on our regional roads.
