Cheque for Chooks in Ardlethan

Steph Cooke and members of the Ardlethan Community hold a large cheque in front of a large, empty shed.

The Ardlethan Showground’s poultry shed will soon be ruling the roost thanks to thanks to funding from the NSW Government’s Showground Stimulus package.

New internal shelving and framework will be installed in the poultry shed utilising a $5,000 grant.

Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke said the work would be a boost to future shows.

“This work will help showcase the region’s poultry and give visitors and exhibitors a better experience,” Ms Cooke said.

“Our showgrounds are such a vital part of our community and every bit of work we can do to improve and maintain them is an investment in future events.

“Well done to the showground land manager and I look forward to these improvements taking shape.”
