Live music is boot scooting back to the stage with the Ardlethan Country Music Festival and Talent Quest returning this weekend.
The Festival was officially opened by Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke, who said she was delighted to see it return after sadly being cancelled in 2020.
“Ardlethan truly comes to life with the Country Music Festival and Talent Quest, hundreds of visitors get to see what this friendly community has to offer and kick up their heels,” Ms Cooke said.
“Getting this event COVID-safe has been a huge undertaking by the committee, the Coolamon Shire Council and the Ardlethan Show Society. This weekend is a chance to celebrate the fruits of this hard work.”
“To the Committee and everyone involved in getting this great event back, I offer a well-deserved congratulations, I urge everyone to come out and explore Ardlethan and enjoy some fantastic live music this weekend.”
Ardlethan Country Music Festival and Talent Quest Secretary Janet Popple said the community was delighted to have live music back.
“This has been a mammoth task from a dedicated team to get the festival up and running this year, we were all so deflated when it was cancelled last year,” Ms Popple said.
“There has been an amazing response to this festival being back with ticket sales, camping numbers and people enquiring about day passes.”
“This is going to be a great weekend for people of all ages and a huge boost for the whole community.”
