Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke today announced funding for the Ganmain Showground from the NSW Government’s Showground Stimulus package.

The Ganmain Showground Land Manager has secured $17,241 for internal road construction and resurfacing.

Ms Cooke said the grant would help improve an important local asset for the Ganmain community.

“I am so pleased Ganmain has received their share of the Showground Stimulus package to undertake this important work,” Ms Cooke said.

“This will help improve access and compliment work that has already been undertaken at the showground. Well done to everyone who has been involved in these upgrades and I look forward to the entire community being able to enjoy them.

Land Manager board member and Show Society President Stephen Hatty said the funds would be a boost for the community.

”This funding means we can finalise the new pavilion we have been able to install through Federal drought funding, and this grant will allow us to finalise the earthworks and get the road back to a usable state,” Mr Hatty said.

“This keeps the showground usable for the whole community, we’ve good multipurpose facilities here that can be used by the community for a variety of functions and events.”
